Create and event using the Event Web App

Open the Events Web App

Open the Events Web App

From the Dashboard menu

  1. Click on Web Apps
  2. then click on Events

Click on the grey 'Add Item' button

Click on the grey 'Add Item' button
  1. Enter a name/title for your event in the Item Name field.
  2. Choose an image for your event by clicking on the blue Select Image link
  3. Enter a Start Date for your event
  4. Enter an End Date for your event
  1. Enter the Time your event will start
  2. Enter a Short Description of your event.
  3. Add an Event ID - you can find this in the address bar of the corresponding event module
  4. The Location (short) field allows you to say where the event will be held.
  5. The Location (long) field allows you to enter more information about your event location, for instance you could add directions.

Set a Release and Expiry Date

Set a Release and Expiry Date
  1. If you are setting up this event in advance, and would not like it to appear on your site until a acertain date, you can set the Release date. You can also set the Expiry Date of the event so that it is not viewable on your site after the event has finished.
  2. Setting the Weighting of an event allows you to specify in what order events are displayed on your site. The greater the number, the higher up the list a particular event will be displayed.

If you wish to enter more information, you can add itin the Item Description field.

Save Your Event

Click on the blue Save and Add New Item button to save your changes
